Arrowroot powder is a versatile, gluten-free thickener that adds a silky texture to soups, sauces, and gravies without altering flavor. Perfect for light, smooth, and glossy finishes.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup liquid (broth, stock, or sauce)

  • 1–2 tsp MEKOMAN Arrowroot Powder

  • Cold water (for slurry)


How to Use

  1. Mix arrowroot powder with a small amount of cold water to form a smooth slurry.

  2. Bring your soup or sauce to a gentle simmer.

  3. Slowly stir in the arrowroot slurry.

  4. Continue cooking for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

  5. Remove from heat and serve immediately.


Serving Tip

Arrowroot thickens at lower temperatures than cornstarch and freezes well without separating, making it perfect for sauces and soups prepared in advance.
